Hi all,
Is there a way to locate these "other files" on device? for me it has over 1.3 GiB but friend of mine just sent me a screenshot with 4.1 GiB and he wants to get rid of it (reasons are obvious I guess)

thanks in advance

PS: great work on the OTA 8.5 on BQ5 window mode with mouse and kb is cool :)

Hi,

You can use the utility 'du' to gain information on how storage is used.

Hi,

thanks Royden,
well of course, but I wanted more to know from which folders is this size computed, like "~/.cache and ... " cause when I go for --max-depth=1 on /home or / no number actually match

Peter V

Granted, that is true. By eliminating videos etc, one can broadly figure out what constitutes 'other. And yes, the OS needs do a better job with the category given the size to which it grows and the need to manage that.
