Well okay, it's just Lukasz announced that manta will not be developed 
any longer so there is this part of decision on Canonical, for which 
hardware ubuntu touch will be build and for which not (and I am happy 
about it).
I wasn't there when nexus development line started so I don't know if 
there was any consulting with google and asus, but i guess since the 
drivers are free it was just that time community decision (or I can be 
terribly wrong so no offense please)

So question still is, at the moment: is touch on K1 doable? Can you 
estimate that if somebody goes by the book 
(https://developer.ubuntu.com/en/start/ubuntu-for-devices/porting-new-device/) 
will be able to make port of touch on K1?

Reason why I am asking about this is that I may have a chance to go for 
tablet and I like ubuntu touch system and community and opportunity to 
(in time) join in more, so I want to have just a little help on if I 
should postpone this decision and wait till march or take my chances on 
what I see the best choice at the moment :)
