Re: Which channel should be used for Ubuntu Emulator?
Hello Nekhelesh,
As mentioned in multiple of my previous landing e-mails, sadly the
Ubuntu Touch emulator isn't in an usable state. We were unable to
promote any emulator images to stable since a few OTAs because of
user-facing bugs, which due to tight deadlines and busy-developers we
weren't able to fix. There's even two outstanding emulator bugs I'm
observing all the time (they're on the LT e-mail list) that make the
current emulator unusable that I hope to see fixed in the nearest time
(one of which is the touch gestures one you experienced [1]).
Apologies for this inconvenience. I will try to somehow pick up the
maintenance of the emulator (at least partially) in the nearest
timeframe to make sure that we get the emulator into proper shape.
There's not that super many of us working on touch and with all the
exciting things going on recently we're simply sometimes lacking the
man-power to take care of everything. Especially that we knew that
developers usually tend to use their real devices for testing.
Anyway, it's all on our radar at least. We'll try keeping everyone informed.
