Message #18769
Ubuntu-PD
Hi,
I read with barely contained excitement this morning in Lukasz's Landing Team email about the Ubuntu Pocket Desktop image and the bigger rootfs - something I've been crying out for in recent months - and of course, after only just successfully setting up my huge chroot in /userdata this weekend.
So, I rushed to install r157 of ubuntu-touch/rc-proposed/ubuntu-pd using the --bootstrap and --wipe options on my Nexus4 - and then when I booted up, checked the rootfs size (using df in the terminal), it's still only 2.0G. Did I do something wrong?
Also, my excitement at seeing the Firefox and Gimp icons in the Apps were painfully shortlived - are they non-functional? Or does the phone have to be in Desktop Mode (i.e. plugged into HDMI) for them to work?
Is there a resource where we can learn more about the Ubuntu PD image?
Cheers
Bry
