As far as i know the version 4.x of android doesn't support aethercast.

I know google has updated N4 to android 5 but ubuntu was build using 
android 4.x for drivers. Moving ubuntu to another versions of android isn't 
that simple (lots could break) and developers had said that isn't worthy.

There has been some initial work to backport aethercast to version 4.x of 
android but they said is up to community to do the rest of thr job.
