Re: SIP phone, VoIP telephony integrated in Ubuntu Touch?
I've taken the time to create a bug report for a generic concept of
unified communication. If we had an API that allowed to just plug in
external services into the Ubuntu Touch platform then adding VoIP
telephony and proprietary protocols (Skype, Viber, WhatsApp,Slack,
etc.) would just be plugins!
See https://bugs.launchpad.net/qtubuntu/+bug/1627747 ("generic API for
communication and data exchange")
(As usual, please cast your vote in the bug ("Affects me too!") if you
want this idea become true!)
