I have here another example that the presentation of the charge level,
given by the kernel, must be broken: I run a cron job every 5 minutes
(of course it is only executed when the system is not in suspend at the given
moment) which logs the charge level, top output and others:

$ sudo crontab -l -u phablet
00,05,10,15,20,25,30,35,40,45,50,55 * * * *   /home/phablet/mon1.sh

today morning I waked up by the alarm clock at 5:25 pm and since this moment I
was listening to a live stream of a radio station over wifi until 6:05 pm
having the audio level at 100% and reading at the same time mails with
Dekko, i.e. display was on too; look what was monitored between 5:25 and
6:05: not even 1% of battery drainage:
