Zsombor reverted the problematic commit for now. Fixed in
0.1.46+13.10.20130828-0ubuntu1 which is in release pocket.

  ubuntu-ui-toolkit 0.1.46+13.10.20130827-0ubuntu1

  
  With the very latest version of the UbuntuUIToolki unity8 is no longer able to start. I downgraded ubuntu-ui-toolkit to a previous version and unity8 started fine on my phone.

  Here is what I see in terminal:
