Message #02507
[Bug 1395684] Re: "continue" in "PROJECT still running. Should it be stopped?" prevents QtC from quitting
This is a message box that is shown by the upstream code.
The qtcreator-plugin-ubuntu has no influence if that message is shown or not.
You probably should report a upstream bug for that if you think that behaviour
is not correct.
However I would assume that the QtCreator needs to quit the application
in order to make sure possible cleanup code is executed (every device type
can reimplement the func that sends the stop message to the process and by
that do cleanups). So continue is correctly "Do not close QtCreator because I want this app
to run".

Title:
"continue" in "PROJECT still running. Should it be stopped?" prevents
QtC from quitting
Status in “qtcreator-plugin-ubuntu” package in Ubuntu:
Won't Fix
Bug description:
I'm running QtC.
Used it to execute some app(s).
I quit Qtc.
It asks me "PROJECT is still running. Should it be stopped?" with "Continue" and "Stop".
"Continue" which I interpret as "Leave it running" prevents QtC from quitting.
So… I'm stuck.
QtC should be able to quit.
Alternatively, if there's a reason the app *has* to be stopped, don't
offer the question. Would be a little annoying, but at least I would
know that I have to run it from the phone itself instead.
