Re: About Ubuntu File Manager App
Ubuntu is a community project, it's developed by Canonical *and* the
wider community. We have a lot of contributors, but we also have a lot
of things being developed, and sometimes that means projects need help.
The Core Apps are a prime example of that, they've all been developed by
the community, and the amount of time that those developers have to
dedicate to fixing these things comes and goes.
I'm not dismissing your complaint, I'm asking for help in fixing it,
because we need help fixing it and many other things in other apps as
well. We can't do it without community help. And coming in here and
telling those community volunteers how disappointed you are in literally
years of work they've put into these apps is only going to make it
harder for us to find new volunteers willing to get involved.
So yes, if you have a bug to report, please report it. If you can fix
it, then please fix it. But if you can't, appreciate the work that other
people have done before you to fix the bugs you never encountered.
