Thank you for the patch, but there should be two templates generated,
one for the main app in remmina/po and one for the plugins in remmina-
plugins/po.

Bug description:
  Upstream Remmina provides two translation templates:
  https://translations.launchpad.net/remmina/trunk

  but the package in Ubuntu Precise does not generate any of these:
  https://translations.launchpad.net/ubuntu/precise/+source/remmina

  Furthermore, the fix for bug #931336 makes it impossible to localize
  the desktop file, so that patch needs to be changed. Instead of
  dropping the desktop.in file, the desktop file should be generated
  from it using intltool-merge.
