I too prefer "hvis", as I remember getting VERY BIG FAT RED LINES telling
me I had done something wrong if I wrote "viss". As did every class mate I
have ever had. Some were slightly dyslectic and would write it as "viss"
from time to time, and without fail they all got VERY BIG FAT RED LINES
denoting a spelling error, each and every time.

In the slideshow, the english "if" is translated to Norwegian as
"viss". This is how a 6-year old or slightly dyslectic person writes
"if" in Norwegian. Proper Norwegian is "hvis".
This is egregious, because it makes Ubuntu look like it is a kludge-
job, which it is not.
