Status in “unity-firefox-extension” package in Ubuntu:
Confirmed
Bug description:
[IMPACT]
Translations for the webapps installation prompt are not loaded
[TESTCASE]
1. LC_ALL=zn_CN.UTF8 firefox
2. open gmail
3. installation prompt should be localized
[Regression Potential]
minimal (usual risk of a bad translation causing an application crash)
The xul-ext-unity package ships translations for 40 languages.
However, having tested with the Catalan localization, it seems that at
least for that language they're not loaded.
Looking further, it seems to affect all languages except English and
Russian, as they are the only ones defined in the manifest file:
$ cat /usr/share/xul-ext/unity/chrome.manifest
content unity content/
skin unity classic/1.0 skin/
style chrome://browser/content/browser.xul chrome://unity/skin/browser.css
locale unity en-US locale/en-US/
locale unity ru-RU locale/ru-RU/
