Re: (no subject)
seriously guys, i understand what jay is saying & trying to get at (& by
the way, jay, saturday morning when i pick you up, i'm going to smack
you for all of this), but if we are all participating in a conversation/
email-thread, then we are, very likely, going to be pretty on top of
what is going on. therefore, unless you are wanting the entire world to
follow the discussion (i.e. a website/forum), top-posting is by far the
most efficient. so i suggest, for email conversations, we simply use
top-posting.
thoughts?!?!

I'm with Brian on this one. Scrolling/paging through the entire thread
to get to the new message each time is a pain. It makes sense to me to
read the reply first, referring to the previous messages below it if I
need some context.

At work, we get e-mails that are 10-15 e-mails deep. If I had to
scroll to the bottom every time just to see the reply, I'd stab

in the face with a soldering iron.
If you can't remember what happened in your e-mail conversation,
I'd
rather have to scroll down to figure that out than to just get
the new
stuff.
