The important thing is that innovation is happening!  GNOME 3 is
targeted toward tablets, so it isn't surprising that it doesn't work
as well (for some people) for existing computing tasks.  Anyway,
options are simply good.  One person's particular preferences aren't
really that significant; although in this case, they may make the
GNOME people try harder to fix the usability problems they've now
created, which in the end is a very good thing.

As an aside, I think a GNOME 2 fork would actually be interesting.
Keep the competition alive.
