Hi Everybodeee! The release date for the next version of Ubuntu,
v14.10, Utopic Unicorn is Thursday, 23 October 2014 [1]

Who wants a release party?  Sadly, work commitments[2] make it
difficult for me to organize a Release Party this cycle. It would be
great if someone else could pick their favourite venue to hang out for
the night[3], put the event on the LoCo Calendar[4], post an
announcement to the mailing list[5], and maybe the Ubuntu Canada
mailing list[6] and the Ubuntu Canada Forum[7]. Chat about it on the
IRC channels[8], pester Darcy to Tweet[9] about it, and tell all your
friends and relations to come too[10].

If the Release Party is still going by the time my GO train rolls in,
then I'll come over and eat an Egg Roll with you. Or hoist a beverage.
Or whatever the venue will allow.
