[Bug 1219889] Re: [FFE] ubuntu-html5-theme
The package has been included in the Ubuntu Archive. Further, It has
been clarified that packages part of the phone SDK runtime were not
strictly required to be part of main. So I've marked this request
invalid.
Sorry for the noise.
** Changed in: ubuntu-html5-theme (Ubuntu)

Title:
[FFE] ubuntu-html5-theme
Status in “ubuntu-html5-theme” package in Ubuntu:
Invalid
Bug description:
This bug report is a feature freeze exception request following
guidelines at
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/FreezeExceptionProcess#FeatureFreeze_Exceptions
Requested change: include the ubuntu-html5-theme in the upcoming 13.10
release
Rationale: this package provides a part of the HTML5 bindings of the
Ubuntu SDK, considered a key part of the Ubuntu SDK for new phone and
tablet devices. The goal is to have all of the runtime part of the SDK
in main, which this package is part of.
Notes:
The package has been available in universe for a while and is already referenced in a tutorial on developer.ubuntu.com: see http://developer.ubuntu.com/resources/tutorials/getting-started/currency-converter-phone-app/
The details of the rationale, QA and dependency analysis is conducted
in the corresponding MIR request bug, filed at
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubuntu-
html5-theme/+bug/1217008. Being a new package it should not create
upgrade issues. The dependencies are limited but require further
elements to be MIRed, as discussed in the main MIR request.
The other part of the HTML5 SDK is ubuntu-cordova, which simplifies
the access to the Ubuntu Platform, for local applications developed
with web technologies. This is further documented in
https://bugs.launchpad.net/cordova-ubuntu/+bug/1217001
