[Bug 1402725] [NEW] No visual indicator for websites with an EV certificate
Public bug reported:
(initially reported as part of bug #1377194)
There is currently no visual cue to differentiate websites with normal
certificates from websites with an Extended Verification certificate.
This may or may not be a problem.
For reference, I’ve tested chrome on android, and I’m not seeing any
difference in the way EV certificates are displayed to the user (with
respect to normal certificates). On desktop and tablets the name of the
organization is displayed on the left of the URL, but obviously on
phones there’s not enough real-estate in the address bar.
