[Bug 379622] [NEW] tibia[game] wont start with ati radeon x1200
Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-ati
I just bought a new laptop with ATI Radeon X1200 Graphic card, and
installed Ubuntu 9.04. Everything works fine until I try too run Tibia
(a game, www.tibia.com), where I get this error:
X Error of failed request: BadDrawable (invalid Pixmap or Window parameter)
Major opcode of failed request: 136 (XFree86-DRI)
Minor opcode of failed request: 7 ()
Resource id in failed request: 0x1600008
Serial number of failed request: 66
Current serial number in output stream: 66
lspci gives me:
01:05.0 VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc RS690M [Radeon X1200 Series]
glxinfo | grep direct:
direct rendering: Yes
When installing xorg-driver-fglrx the screen get all messed up trying
too startx. Might have something to do with ati passing the radeon x1200
too legacy? I just bought this brand new computer! How can the graphic
card be so old?!
However, if I install xserver-xorg-video-radeonhd I can start the game,
but everything becomes terrible slow. So it seem to be something with
the graphic card driver and not the game itself.
