[Bug 380336] [NEW] Double PCI graphic cards : Mach64 or Radeon doesn't work with Jaunty

Public bug reported:

With Ubuntu Jaunty, using
xserver-xorg-video-mach64_6.8.0-3_i386.deb, I came across this issue :

(WW) MACH64: Mach64 in slot 4:0:0 could not be detected!

There's 4 machines on which this error appears. The all have three graphic
cards (The Intel can be ignored as we don't use it) :
00:02.1 0380: 8086:2782 (rev 04) Intel Corporation 82915G Integrated Graphics
Controller
04:00.0 0300: 1002:4752 (rev 27) ATI Technologies Inc Rage XL
04:01.0 0300: 1002:4752 (rev 27) ATI Technologies Inc Rage XL

The first ATI card is detected and works well :
(II) MACH64: Mach64 in slot 4:1:0 detected.

If I install Ubuntu Hardy, using
xserver-xorg-video-ati_6.8.0-1ubuntu1_i386.deb, both ATI cards are detected and
work fine.

I tried to compile xf86-video-mach64-6.8.1
(http://cgit.freedesktop.org/xorg/driver/xf86-video-mach64/snapshot/xf86-video-mach64-6.8.1.tar.bz2),
but same error.

I tried compare the source code between Hardy and Jaunty packages, but couldn't
spot a difference.

I reported this problem here :
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=21617
But got no reply.

A week later, I tried with 2 brand new PCI Radeon cards, and still couldn't make it work with Jaunty.
On the same machine, with Hardy, it works well.
