[Bug 394341] [NEW] Karmic will not boot after Xorg, kernel update
Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: xorg
The Karmic update to 2.26.31-1, or the concurrent xorg update has caused
my Lenovo laptop to hang at startup. This initial splash screen appears,
but behaves more like a live CD, with the bar going back and forth many
times. It then hangs for a while and after a few minutes starts to
display a long bootup sequence. After a long pause it continues, finally
ending with a black screen with no keyboard response. Using the recovery
mode ends the same way.
I am not a terminal wizard, limited to updates.
** Affects: xorg (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
