I am running Ubuntu 10.10, I recently installed some system upgrades, including a kernel upgrade and an nvidia driver update.
A reboot was required, after reboot I could not boot up, all I got was a black screen.
Using the Ubuntu 10.10 live install CD I was able to get a basic system running.  I have had to reinstall 10.10, now my Samsumg SynMaster 2243BW 22inch monitor is not recognised and I am getting incorrect screen resolutions and I have no sound.
