Natty Alpha 1 with latest updates

Upon turning on the computer, it seems to regularly freeze at a black screen with a single blinking white cursor prior to coming to the Ubuntu splash screen.
A hard reset is required at this point after which it generally always loads normally (i.e it seems to always freeze on the first attempt to boot and then loads normally on the second attempt after hard reset)

Not sure if this is a problem in xorg but this seemed like the most
logical startingpoint.
