[Bug 714996] [NEW] Wrong resolution when the monitor is off at boot

Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: xorg

The resolution changes any time I turn on the computer without turning
on the monitor. If I run the sudo service gdm restart, the problem is
solved. I think this is a common problem
