[Bug 716596] [NEW] Corruption during boot-up
Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-ati
System boots up fine, but between plymouth and the login screen
displaying I see uninitialized graphics memory. It always clears and I
get a proper login screen, but it looks bad from a user experience.
Plymouth is not displaying the graphical logo. I either see the text
logo or just a blank screen. So I'm wondering if perhaps plymouth is
leaving the GPU in an inconsistent state.
I didn't see this problem with this video card in my old desktop running
maverick, but it seems to be happening on this new system with natty; I
don't recall exactly when I first noticed it.
