[Bug 400224] [NEW] [jaunty] Terminating X with Alt+SysRq+K causes gfx glitches when shutting down machine

Steps to reproduce:
1)Start up your machine and log in
2)Alt+SysRq+K (kills X)
3)When the login screen appears, choose to shut down

What happens:
You see multiple instances of the ubuntu splash screen overlapping each other partially.
