[Bug 754040] Re: Ubuntu 10.10 crashes very often on my Acer T630

I just provoked a new crash by running 5 vlc films at the same time and
starting the system-monitor. A few seconds after the system-monitor ran
the system crashed. But this time the screen did not go black. Shortly
before I started the system-monitor I started a sixth vlc window with a
film, then all the vlc-windows lost their frame (the menus were still
there but not the frame above the menu). Then I closed 1 vlc window but
the frames did not come back again. Then I startet the system-monitor to
see, how much memory was left. When the crash happened, all the windows
with the running films but without the frame were still there - the
pictures of the films stopped moving and the mouse and the keyboard were
frozen. Nothing else could be done than resetting the machine. Before
doing all this I activiatet ctrl+alt+backspace to be able to kill the
XORG Server, but it was not possible, as the keyboard was frozen. So I
still have no idea, what causes the crashes.
