Public bug reported:

At intermittent intervals, sometimes 2-3 times a day (today 7 times),
the Ubuntu 10.10 screen goes black, and in a few seconds returns to the
page it was on. but there is NO cursor, and no navigation with arrows
functioning. Must reboot to fix this. It will happen again at random
intervals and can't make it happen. It is does not seem to be related to
anything being worked on at the time but very often firefox is open with
many open tabs. But the crash seems to be totally random. Thanks for the
help.  BTW, I'm not a great techie. Thanks.
