[Bug 766395] [NEW] multiple monitors fail to display
Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-intel
I simply try to connect my monitor to a projector and the display freezes. I can cycle through different display modes by pressing Fn+F8.
When my native screen is back, I tried to enable "Same image on all monitors" in the "Monitors" configuration app. It resulted in the same problem, I could not use either monitor.
Finally, I was able to use Fn+F8 to show on the projector only, but the screen was tinted yellow. I confirmed it was not a hardware problem by attaching the projector to another computer. I also checked if the cable was loose, which can cause color problems. I believe the color had something to do with this multi-monitor issue.
During the switching, compiz crashed.
This is a regression from maverick. I was able to use a projector in
the previous release.
