[Bug 765416] Re: [g41] GPU lockup (IPEHR: 0x01800002)
After you have completed testing that PPA, report your results here, and
post your dmesg.
Then, remove the PPA (using ppa-purge or similar), and lets test this
next part.
Install the upstream experimental drm kernel tree:
http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/drm-intel-next-proposed/
A number of people with similar problems say this solves the issue;
others have trouble getting it to boot. If it doesn't boot, try the
drm-intel-next, drm-next, or 2.6.39-rc* kernels at
http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/ until you find one that
does boot.
With the newer upstream kernel, try to reproduce the bug again, collect
dmesg, and post here.
