[Bug 772398] [NEW] Disabling LCD disables the HDMI monitor too
Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-intel
The laptop Dell Studio 1569 http://www.linlap.com/wiki/dell+studio+1569
has "VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Core Processor
Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 12)" VGA card. If I use both LCD and
external HDMI-connected monitor (in panorama mode) - both LCD and the
HDMI screen work properly.
If I disable the LCD (Administration->Monitors->Select LCD->Select
"Off"->press Apply), then *both* LCD and HDMI monitor become black! VNC
session to the laptop from a different machine shows everything as if
the LCD was disabled and the HDMI became my primary desktop.
The feature worked in maverick and stopped working in natty.
** Affects: xserver-xorg-video-intel (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
