I use Ubuntu 11.04 amd64, but some problem has been in 10.10.
I use fglrx_2%3a8.840-0ubuntu4_amd64.deb and fglrx-amdcccle_2%3a8.840-0ubuntu4_amd64.deb packages in natty.
My PC specs: Intel Pentium Dualcore 2.93 Ghz, 4 GB Ram, ATI Radeon HD 4650 1024 mb
Swap is too 4 GB.  
After installing the driver Ati Catalyst, the system goes into sleep mode, but hangs at the hibernation state and computer does not turn off.  But if I use radeonhd driver then hibernate succeeds. Hibernate very need to me.
I hope for you help!
