Message #126927
[Bug 778558] [NEW] Upgrade from 10.10 to 11.04, Alternate CD I386, stopped because it will break an existant software
You have been subscribed to a public bug:
I've put the alternate CD to make the upgrade, it stopped telling me (in
french) that it's impossible to install "/cdrom/.//pool/main/x/xorg-
server/xserver-xorg-core-1.10.1-1ubuntu1_i386.deb".
The upgrade will continue but the package may not be functional, Please
report this as a bug.
"L'installation de xserver-xorg-core casserait un logiciel existant"
"The installation of xserver-xorg-core may break an existant software"
The installation wait for the window to be close.
I closed the window and received a new message:
"Impossible d'installer xserver-xorg-core" and it's telling that the package is already installed and configured.
???
The message in french have a problem with the accent that have to be
correct too.
"Le paquet xserver-xorg-core est déjà installé et configuré"
should be:
"Le paquet xserver-xorg-core est déjà installé et configuré"
when I close that window, the installation continue.
at the end, it told me that it will try to reconfigure with:
dpkg --configure -a
nothing happened
it told me that the system is installed but may be unusable.
nothing more... I will try to correct it before to restart... just to be
sure.
Thank's"
