[Bug 780843] [NEW] Different video issues with Ubuntu 11.04 and Dell E4310

Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-intel

I have to major issues at the moment.

1. I can't get the screen resolution beyond 1024x768. If i try to put it
higher ( 1360 x 768 ) a part of the right part of my screen goes black,
but the top menu stays good.

2. When the laptop is in a docking station and i connect an external
monitor to it and put that one to a higher resolution i have the same
issues as mentioned in issue 1.

I had the same issues with 10.10 and upgraded to 11.04 with the hope it would solve the issues.
