[Bug 788786] [NEW] Display artifacts on rotated screen

 

Public bug reported:

When rotating the screen with `xrandr --output $OUTPUT --rotate left` or
--output $OUTPUT --rotate right`, in the resulting rotated screen the
upper half does not get repainted properly (see attached screenshot -
the terminal window should be visible up to the top). Note that '--
rotate normal' and '--rotate inverted' work as expected.

It seems that this problem has occured with the most recent update (to
1:7.6+4ubuntu3), but I can't say for sure. Updating to 1:7.6+4ubuntu3.1
in natty-testing doesn't help, in any case.
