Public bug reported:

In xubuntu 11.10 up to date as of 26/06/2011, when opening a x-based window for the first time the x-server quits.
This is reproducible at least with the plot command from ngspice following the instruccions from the user manual "20.1 AC coupled transistor amplifier" in the "Example circuits" section.
