[Bug 816333] [NEW] Occasionally the x-server does not accept keyboard input

Public bug reported:

When using the keyboard extensively e.g. with control sequences like in
vim the x-server stops processing keyevents while you can hear the sound
which indicates a gtk form denying invalid keyboard input. The mouse
still works while this happens and if you can reach the logout button it
starts working again after login.
