Public bug reported:

I just updated my jaunty to 2.6.28-14 generic (x86_64) and I encounter
xorg crash at startup. When launching gdm, screen flickers at usual then
nothing, leaving me on a black screen.

I managed to identify the source of the problem but not its cause, it is
related to Xorg process and the kernel but I'm unable to get more info.

See messages.log and oops.log for a complete dump
