I am just getting blank screen when booting into default Unity interface. 
This is also the case for "clasic Ubuntu" so the only usable interface is "clasic without special effects" or KDE.

It was tested with default graphic driver and with proprietary ATI
drivers.

kernel I am using is 2.6.38-11-generic #48-Ubuntu SMP Fri Jul 29
