[Bug 407959] Re: Probe for Intel 82852/82855 gfx card fails - introduced in Jaunty?
Could you test if this is also a problem with Karmic? You may use a
LiveCD image if you'd like: http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/9.10/
If it is still a problem in Karmic, there is a chance that we can do
something about it. For this, we would need a few logs:
/var/log/Xorg.0.log, output of `dmesg`, output of `lspci -vvnn` and
output of `xrandr --verbose`. To upload all of these and quite a few
other useful pieces of information to this bug report, you may run the
command `apport-collect 407959`.
