[Bug 407959] [NEW] Probe for Intel 82852/82855 gfx card fails - introduced in Jaunty?
Public bug reported:
I've tested all versions of Ubuntu since Warty on my aging Acer
TravelMate 291 XC and never before Jaunty did I get this problem: The
Intel 82852/82855 gfx card is not recognized and xorg falls back to
'vesa'.
I can see that the gfx is working; the progress bar during boot shows
correct maximum resolution (1024x768). But entering the login screen and
from there on, we're in 800x600.
I've searched for fixes and found none that worked, so I edited conf manually, adding 'intel' for Driver and
