Message #142898
[Bug 872485] [NEW] fglrx uninstall deletes libGL.so.1
Public bug reported:
Steps to reproduce:
-- install fglrx restricted video drivers
-- uninstall fglrx video drivers
-> all applications depending on libGL.so.1 (which include Nautilus, Gnome-Shell, and I think Unity, too) don't work.
-> /usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/libGL.so.1 or /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libGL.so.1 (depending on architecture) is missing.
A re-install of libgl1-mesa-glx (originally containing the now missing
file) resolves the problem.
** Affects: fglrx-installer (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
