Message #142979
[Bug 872890] [NEW] Xorg freeze
Public bug reported:
Presario A900 regular Jaunty updates - second screen cannot do 1400x900 any more (eventually, replace with 23" and get 1920x1080), do dist-upgrade and hang on startup, recovery mode, X needs restart, now it can't do 1360x768, do dist-upgrade, it still can't start up without those touches and it tells me the hardware cannot handle Unity as well).
Problem might just be the disabling of the proprietary Nvidia driver.
Then funky things are happening like Firefox menu clicks on the second screen invalidate rectangles on the main screen, also reported there.
