Re: [Bug 812663] Re: Xorg restart

Hi Bryce,
Upgrading to Oneiric solved the problem. In two weeks since upgrading I have not experienced any Xorg restart issues.

You may close the bug, or I'll do it sometime tomorrow.
Regards,
Javier

Subject: [Bug 812663] Re: Xorg restart

Hey javisw,

You filed this bug report against natty, but I see it's still open and
doesn't appear to have much activity recently.  So, now that oneiric
is released and stable, this may be a good point for you to upgrade
and re-test if this issue is still present there.

If it's solved in the new release and you think it's worth backporting
the fix, please indicate that.  Or if having the fix in the new release
is good enough, feel free to close out the bug (or let us know and we'll
 close it.)

If it's not solved, leave the bug report open.  I can't promise we'll
get to it (we get way more bugs filed than we can usually get to), but
your testing and feedback can help out if and when we do.

   Xorg restart

 Bug description:
This may be a duplicate of but 783002, or i not. When using Chrome, or
a program running on Wine, or typing an email using Thunderbird, or
using LibreOffice, the computer logs off, NVidia graphic card driver
restarts and I am back to the login screen. It is happening quite
often, at least once every time I start the computer. It is becoming
extremely annoying I have looked everywhere but found no way to solve
the issue. I've lost quite a bit of work, now I have to save every 10
seconds which is not the way Ubuntu should work. I am using Unity, but
looking at the logs I couldn't find anything unusual.
