No activity because nobody seemed to want to help, or nobody had any
idea about how to help.

I have no idea how to fix the problem myself, and in Natty, the problem
is still present for me (even with the latest updates)

When I can actually find the time to do an upgrade to Oneric (and deal
with various issues that will no doubt arise) I will be sure to write
the results here.
