[Bug 905133] [NEW] gnome-terminal is slow

Public bug reported:

When scrolling or appending new portions of text gnome-terminal runs
slow and consumes a lot of CPU. I've tried turning off the transparency
in the background or using laptop without external monitor but nothing
helps. However, I got an impression that using smaller terminal window
does help a little.

I also get an impression that the same issue concerns gedit text window
(scrolling is not smooth, like CPU was overloaded).
