[Bug 441194] [NEW] device nodes seem to be missing

Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-input-synaptics

After upgrade from Jaunty to Karmic the touchpad on Packard Bell stopped
working. Kernel module is still loaded because I can cat /dev/psaux.

Problem seems related to udev/evdev. Error received from Xorg.0.log
