[Bug 441706] [NEW] 100% cpu usage with latest updates, acpid socket missing
Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: xorg
I just updated my karmic install with the past two days updates. Xorg
now uses 100% CPU after boot. If I log out and log back in, cpu usage
goes back to normal. The only relevant thing from dpkg.log looks like
mesa.
It seems right after boot that Xorg cannot open the acpid.socket file, as I get this error message in xorg.0.log:
(WW) Open ACPI failed (/var/run/acpid.socket) (No such file or directory)
If I log out and log back in, it changes to:
(II) Open ACPI successful (/var/run/acpid.socket) and cpu usage is normal.
Is it related to upstart ordering?
