[Bug 444448] [NEW] Dell E6500 dual head configuration incorrect when waking from hibernation

Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: xrandr

- Running 9.10 beta 64-bit.

I have a Dell Latitude E6500 in a docking station with an external
monitor connected. My layout is with the external monitor logically
extended above the laptop screen, and both displays running at
1920x1200, for a desktop of 1920x1200.

When I wake it from hibernation, both screens are showing the output
meant for the external monitor. The mouse can be moved from the external
monitor down to the laptop display, although mouse events only get
passed to the relevant window when clicking it on the external monitor.

When opening up gnome-display-properties, the label for the external
monitor appears in the corner of both the external and laptop screens,
and making changes in the applet doesn't fix the problem.

Undocking and re-docking the laptop results in restoration of dual-head
output, but with the displays organised left to right instead of top to
bottom. In addition, the GTK themer dies, falling back on an un-themed
GTK. gnome-display-properties recognises this new, incorrect layout, but
refuses to apply position changes until making a different change, e.g.
disabling a display and then re-enabling it, after which the config is
finally restored.

Running the appearance app fixes the theme failure.

- Compiz is running.
- Wake from hibernation worked fine on 9.04.
