[Bug 444621] [NEW] Pointer flickers during "working..." animation

Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: xorg

In the Karmic beta, the mouse flickers whenever it is doing the
"working..." animation. It does this both when the entire pointer is the
little spinning circle, and when the circle is overlaid on the normal
pointer. It does this both while the GDM is loading, and during normal
desktop use.
